Hello there internet! Allow me to quickly introduce myself.
My name is Santiago Holder and I made this website to document and share my opinions on Southern Heritage/History.
Recently, I decided to learn about my family history and came upon my 3x great grandfather. Upon discovering him, I realized that he was a colonel for the 17th Regiment in Mississippi. This lead me into learning more about him and the history of the CSA. And what I found changed my way of thinking.
Growing up, I was raised to believe that the Confederates were all Raciest who wanted to split from the Union because of Slavery. And that the Confederate flag meant racism and evil and for a while, I believed what they told me. But as I grew up and started doing my own research, I learned that was far from the truth.
Unfortunately, The media wants you to believe these lies and have been doing what they can to erase everything that slightly resembles the confederacy. In my town of Asheville NC, I was sadden to see that they were going to remove the Vance Monument. And for what? Just to please a few protesters? The worst part about it was they weren’t gonna even preserve it and were just gonna demolish it. And that is just 1 of many cases I’ve read about stuff like this happening.
My plan for this website is to shine light on showing what the real south and confederacy is all about and maybe teach a thing or two that maybe you didn’t know while at it. I’ll try to be as active as I can. But this website isn’t my main priority. It’s more of a hobby and I plan on keeping it that way for a while.
I’m proud of my heritage. And I’m proud to be a southern.
Thanks for reading and till next time: Goodbye.
